Vehicles are only allowed to enter Paris with a Crit'Air sticker 2.

Failure to comply with the restrictions of a low emission zone (ZFE) or those provided for by differentiated traffic during certain episodes of pollution is punished by the fine provided for fines:
- Fourth class, for heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches (135 euros flat rate)
- Third class, for other categories of vehicles (68 euros flat rate) The

following are thus sanctioned:
- Traffic in violation of the restrictions of a ZFE or differentiated traffic
- Traffic without a quality certificate of the air in a ZFE or in the event of implementation of differentiated traffic (except for unclassified vehicles)
- The affixing of an air quality certificate that does not correspond to the characteristics of the vehicle.

The violations provided for may result in the immobilization of the vehicle.
