Keep in mind that from then on, only diesel trucks with emission class 6 or higher may enter the environmental zone.
On March 25, 2021, the Haarlem city council decided to introduce the environmental zone for freight traffic in the center and surrounding neighborhoods as of January 1, 2022.
The introduction of the environmental zone is a step towards the 0-emission zone in 2025 with more measures for clean air. In order to formally regulate the environmental zone, the Municipal Executive adopted a draft traffic decree and a draft policy rule on 20 April 2021 for granting exemptions
