Area C is active from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 to 19:30.
Area C is not active on weekends and public holidays.

Area C corresponds to the ZTL Cerchia dei Bastioni (the same area as the former Ecopass).
It is delimited by 43 electronic gates equipped with video cameras, of which 6 exclusive accesses for public transport and one for promiscuous transport.

The camera system only detects the license plates of incoming cars. However, the regulation prohibits not only the transit at the gates but also the dynamic circulation, that is the movement of the vehicle, inside Area C and outwards.

The following vehicles are prohibited from accessing and circulating:

• cars in environmental class prohibited
• dual fuel diesel-LPG and diesel-methane Euro 0, 1 and 2 and Euro I and II
• two-stroke motorcycles and mopeds Euro 0 and 1 and diesel oil Euro 0 and 1
• with length greater than 7,5 meters
• intended for the transport of goods, in the time slot between 08:00 and 10:00.

Remember
Euro 4 diesel vehicles belonging to residents and equivalent, can no longer access Area C from 1 October 2019.
